Lead seats unlock administrative functions: configuring Jira, Slack, and Teams integrations; managing API keys; inviting and removing team members; and managing billing. Every Pro team needs at least one lead. Testers get full access to test execution, reporting, and all other features.
A second lead seat is added automatically at 11 users ($50 extra). A third is added at 21 users, and so on β one lead per 10 users. The remaining users remain tester seats at $10 each. You can designate which users are leads from the Organization Settings page.
You will need Pro. Basic is capped at 3 users maximum, so a 4-person team requires Pro: 1 lead ($50) + 3 testers ($30) = $80/month. This also gives you unlimited projects, full Jira integration, CI/CD webhooks, and Slack/Teams notifications.
Yes. Any org admin can reassign the lead designation from Organization Settings β Users. The total number of lead seats is determined by team size, not by who holds the role.
No. Perpetual Test uses a zero-storage model for media. Screenshots and attachments are captured on your local device and uploaded directly to Jira, never passing through or being stored on our servers. This keeps your storage costs at zero regardless of team size.
